Construction site chaos in Chemnitz: Drivers now have to show patience!

The city of Chemnitz will be facing several construction sites in the coming week that could severely disrupt traffic. The measures will begin on Monday, October 27th and will affect various streets in the city. Drivers should prepare for significant restrictions that will last into November.

This is particularly affectedAnnaberger Street, where half of the road is closed between house numbers 431 and 483. This work, which is scheduled to last until November 18th, will be maintained through traffic light regulation so that traffic can continue to flow smoothly. Also on theLeipzig StreetOn the same day, October 27th, a partial closure will be set up between Wildparkstrasse and Emile-Zola-Strasse due to the broadband expansion. Drivers can expect longer wait times, although the road remains passable in both directions. The measure is scheduled to be completed by November 14th.

Further construction sites are being planned on the city streets:

• Wittgensdorfer Straße: Ab Montag, 27. Oktober, wird sie zwischen Am Küchwald und der Hausnummer 39 abschnittsweise eingeengt. Die Arbeiten sind voraussichtlich bis zum 14. November zu erwarten, und eine Umleitung ist nicht nötig, obwohl eine Umfahrung empfohlen wird.
• Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße: Ab Dienstag, 28. Oktober, gibt es eine Verkehrseinschränkung in Höhe der Hausnummern 14 bis 14a. Hierbei handelt es sich um Arbeiten für Glasfaseranschlüsse, die bis zum 30. Oktober andauern sollten.
• Zusätzlich wird der Südring bis Freitag nur mit einer Fahrspur stadteinwärts zwischen der Winkelhofer Straße und der Wladimir-Sagorski-Straße befahrbar sein.
• Von Montag bis 8. November wird die Wittgensdorfer Straße zwischen den Hausnummern 70 und 147 voll gesperrt. Eine Umleitung über Bornaer Straße, Leipziger Straße und Obere Hauptstraße ist eingerichtet.
• Auch die Leipziger Straße wird stadtauswärts zwischen den Hausnummern 124 und 136 eingeengt, die Einfahrt zur Louise-Otto-Straße bleibt gesperrt. Eine Umleitung über die Köthensdorfer Straße wird bereitgestellt, die Maßnahme läuft ebenfalls bis zum 14. November.
• Von Mittwoch bis Freitag wird es zudem auf der Zwickauer Straße an der Einmündung zur Pornitzstraße zu einer Fahrbahneinschränkung kommen. Darüber hinaus wird die Limbacher Straße zwischen Sandsteig und Kreisigstraße ab Mittwoch bis zum 31. März halbseitig gesperrt, um Platz für den Neubau eines Wohngebäudes zu schaffen.
