Chemnitz Spotfight: Bicycle acrobats fight for the title in fantastic weather!
On July 9, 2025, the exciting BMX competition “Chemnitzer Spotfight” took place in Chemnitz, Saxony. With the motto “2 Spots, 2 Days, 2 Skills, 1 Winner”, the event attracted numerous cycling acrobats from all over East Germany to the city. This unique event series has proven itself over the years and not only attracts the best talent, but also offers a family and relaxed atmosphere with wonderful summer weather, as freedombmx.de reports.
The event represented an exciting competition, divided into two days and different disciplines. On the first day the fighting took place at Streetplaza in Konkordiapark, while on Sunday the mini ramp in AJZ Talschock became the stage for the acrobatics. The participants had the opportunity to compete against each other in the daily rankings for Street and Park and to determine the overall winners in both disciplines.
Children and amateurs show off their skills
The young talent was in demand right from the start. Among the kids, first place went to Maximilian Mertas, followed by Josua Nieke and Lenny Lorenz. The amateurs were also able to score points: Luca Zanotelli took the lead in the street daily ranking, while Chris Heyde, known as Lenker Maik, won the park daily ranking and also emerged as the winner in the overall ranking. Professionals inspire the audience
But it wasn't just the amateurs who provided exciting competitions. In the professional area, Sikharin Supanmart stood out in both the street and park daily rankings and secured the overall winning position. Marco Weißmantel and Julian Enke also shone, which fueled the competitive atmosphere even further. The atmosphere was exhilarating not only for the BMX fans, but also for everyone present, who were able to enjoy the day in a family atmosphere. These types of events are not only a platform for competition, but also a great place to strengthen the BMX community and discover new talent.
In addition, numerous prizes were awarded, including non-cash prizes and checks from Sparkasse Chemnitz, and participants were rewarded in sessions such as “Cash for Tricks”, which further fueled the mood. A big thank you goes to the organizers and helpers who made a significant contribution to the success of this event through their dedicated work and the timely renovation of the ramps.
This marks the end of another chapter in the BMX sector, and the Spotfight Chemnitz remains a heart of BMX culture in Germany.
