The 2025/26 EuroCup season is in full swing and the German teams ratiopharm Ulm, Niners Chemnitz and Veolia Towers Hamburg have high expectations. On October 9, 2025, they will compete in this exciting competition where 20 teams from 13 countries will fight for the title. Basketball World reports that ratiopharm Ulm is starting as the reigning BBL runner-up and has clear ambitions to shine internationally. In contrast, Veolia Towers Hamburg enter the race as underdogs, having only finished 13th in the last Bundesliga season. Despite this challenging starting position, the Hamburg team is hoping for a surprise success in EuroCup Group A. The group division stipulates that Ulm and Chemnitz will compete in Group B, where each team will play a total of 18 games in the return round. The best six teams from both groups qualify for the playoffs, which is an exciting goal for all three German representatives.
