International network meeting in Chemnitz: Attention founders!
An exciting event is coming! From June 19 to 22, 2025, Chemnitz will be the hottest destination for company founders and innovators from all over the world. The international network meeting “Startup Connect” and the participatory festival “Makers United” promise to fill the city with around 100 entrepreneurs from countries such as Japan, Taiwan and Nova Gorica. One more reason to look forward to the big meeting.
On Thursday, June 19th, Mayor Sven Schulze will welcome guests in the Green Salon of the town hall. The reception begins at 7 p.m. and will be a welcome opportunity to network with like-minded people. The CEO of Maker e. V., Katrin Hoffmann, will open the event and guide you through the first program items. In addition to the reception, there will also be various networking events, specialist dialogues and company visits tailored to the needs of the participants.
An overview of the program
The “Startup Connect” event is more than just a meeting place: it is a platform for innovation and networking. Numerous activities are planned over the four days. Company visits to companies such as Staffbase, Novajet and move technology are on the agenda, as are exclusive startup pitches and specialist lectures. Participants have the opportunity to network with other creative minds and develop innovative ideas together.
- Donnerstag, 19. Juni: Ankunft und Empfang im Rathaus, gefolgt von einer Carillion-Vorführung.
- Freitag, 20. Juni: Unternehmensbesuche, internationaler Austausch und Pitches aus Łódź.
- Samstag, 21. Juni: Eröffnung des Makers United Festivals, Symposium und Networking-Event.
- Sonntag, 22. Juni: Möglichkeiten zum Besuch von „Makers United“.
On Saturday there will also be a public symposium in the Vulcanus room of the Carlowitz Congress Center. This offers exciting lectures on topics such as collaborations between makers and startups, the challenges that founders have to overcome internationally, and growth opportunities for startups, presented by experts. Attendees should mark June 22nd on their calendars if they want the opportunity to learn from outstanding speakers.
The role of the startup ecosystem
The “Startup Ecosystem” plays a crucial role in the development of novel business models and technologies. It is made up of founders, investors, mentors and other stakeholders who work together to drive innovation in the country. In Chemnitz, this exchange is further promoted through initiatives such as “Startup Connect” and “Makers United”.
