Art hiking: The Purple Path inspires Chemnitz and the surrounding area!

The Capital of Culture Chemnitz attracts with a colorful cultural offer that extends across the streets and landscapes of the Ore Mountains. With the largest open-air gallery in Europe, the "Purple Path", the city captivates visitors without exception. The "Purple Path" is not just a way, but a real experience for art lovers and hiking friends. Over 60 contemporary artists, including well -known names such as Alice Aycock and Daniel Buren, present their works in a wide variety of public spaces. From industrial throats to train stations to river banks - the works of art, such as the bright "7 colors for a chimney" in Chemnitz or "Twister Again" in the Erzgebirge open -air museum, are real eye -catchers and invite you to explore the region.
