Changing in Aue and Chemnitz: One will be the new stadium name!
Chemnitz, Deutschland - A new name for the stadiums in the Erzgebirge: the energy service provider Eins secured. From now on, the Erzgebirge Stadium in Aue is officially managed under the name "Eins Erzgebirgsstadion". The stadium on Gellertstraße in Chemnitz will also bear the name additive "One" in the future. This decision was announced on July 17, 2025 and marked an important step for both clubs.
Roland Frötschner, President of FC Erzgebirge Aue, emphasizes the importance of maintaining the traditional name Erzgebirge Stadium and at the same time gaining a strong partner for the name rights. After all, the association had had to do without revenue from stadium marketing since the Erzgebirgssparkasse exit in July 2017.
commitment of one in the region
The commitment of Eins for the local football clubs is not only limited to naming rights. The service provider has significantly expanded his commitment in the region. Roland Warner, chairman of the one-management management, emphasizes that the company wants to act as a reliable partner for the region.
With an impressive annual turnover of around 1.5 billion euros in the 2024 financial year and around 1,400 employees, one is the leading municipal infrastructure service provider in Chemnitz and South Saxony. The company supplies around 400,000 household and commercial customers with essential services and also actively took care of wastewater disposal in Chemnitz and the surrounding areas.
sustainable investments and social commitment
But not only football beats the heart of one. The company has been investing continuously in infrastructure since 1990 and supplies the region with more than four billion euros. Future investments are also planned, with more than 200 million euros annually, which should flow into projects that will benefit the youth, environment, sport, culture and social initiatives.
By the way, one thing is also the main sponsor of the Culture Capital of Europe in 2025, which shows that the company has a good knack for social and cultural projects. All of these measures shows that one is not only a service provider, but also an active part of the community in the Ore Mountains.
We can look forward to the coming years in which the football stadiums in Aue and Chemnitz will present themselves entirely under the sign of one. The fan culture and the clubs themselves can only benefit, and for the region this is certainly a step in the right direction.
