A new name for the stadiums in the Erzgebirge: The energy service provider one has secured the naming rights to the stadiums of FC Erzgebirge Aue and Chemnitzer FC. From now on, the Erzgebirgsstadion in Aue will officially be called “eins Erzgebirgsstadion”. The stadium on Gellertstrasse in Chemnitz will also have the suffix “eins” in its name in the future. This decision was announced on July 17, 2025 and marks an important step for both clubs.

Roland Frötschner, President of FC Erzgebirge Aue, emphasizes the importance of retaining the traditional name Erzgebirgsstadion and at the same time finding a strong partner for the naming rights. After all, the club has had to forego income from stadium marketing since the Erzgebirgssparkasse left in July 2017.

Commitment from one in the region

The commitment of one However, for local football clubs it is not just limited to naming rights. The service provider has significantly expanded its involvement in the region. Roland Warner, chairman of eins management, emphasizes that the company wants to act as a reliable partner for the region.

With an impressive annual turnover of around 1.5 billion euros in the 2024 financial year and around 1,400 employees, one is the leading municipal infrastructure service provider in Chemnitz and southern Saxony. The company provides around 400,000 household and commercial customers with essential services and has also actively taken care of wastewater disposal in Chemnitz and the surrounding areas.

Sustainable investments and social commitment

But it's not just football that beats Ein's heart. The company has been continuously investing in infrastructure since 1990 and supplies the region with more than four billion euros. Future investments are also planned, with more than 200 million euros annually to be channeled into projects that benefit youth, the environment, sport, culture and social initiatives.

By the way, one is also the main sponsor of the European Capital of Culture 2025, which shows that the company has a good hand for social and cultural projects. All of these measures show that one is not only a service provider, but also an active part of the community in the Erzgebirge.
