Neo-Nazi activist from Chemnitz: Dangerous connections to the identity movement!

Chemnitz, Deutschland - in Chemnitz it is bubbling tremendously and the identity movement clearly shows presence. Paul Schäffler, an active member of this right -wing extremist group, is currently in the city. He has been active in the Chemnitz scene of identities since 2023 and has a dazzling history in the neo -Nazi milieu. For example, a few years ago, he took part in a folk dance event in Chemnitz and also attended a right “funeral march” in Dresden. It is particularly striking that Schäffler regularly participates in Demos in Chemnitz and even nationwide. Among the events he visited, there is participation in the "Winter Academy" of the Institute for State Policy and in the solidarity demonstration of Free Saxony.

The activities of the Identity Movement are diverse. You recently acquired new premises in Edisonstrasse in Chemnitz, more precisely in the Schönau district. In these rooms that are managed by an entrepreneurial company, they plan to establish a “center for counterculture and activism”. The identities have already hung flags on the ceiling and organize various offers such as regulars' tables and book presentations. The protection of the constitution was informed about the purchase at an early stage, but initially did not recognize the exact purpose of the rooms. In Halle an der Saale there has already been resistance to similar efforts, and in Chemnitz there is also a group that wants to offer the identities forehead.

insights into the person Paul Schäffler

Schaeffer is not only known as an activist, but also as a working person: he works as a watchmaker at the used luxury watch dealer "Zeitacau". He lives in Bürgelstraße 7 in Chemnitz and gets along without a car - instead he drives bus and uses his iconic bike. This lifestyle suggests that it is well anchored in the local events. The fact that he is involved in many events suggests that he is not lacking in perseverance.

his participation in the various actions, also at Demos in Vienna, shows that it is an active part of the movement. The last few months in particular have tough: regularly participates in regulars' tables, hikes and the opening of the Chemnitz IB location. His commitment is also reflected in his participation in the "Honor Day" in Budapest, an event that attracts thousands of neo -Nazis every year. His constant activity and networking within the right -wing extremist scene could be an indication that Schäffler plays a central role in the upcoming developments of the Identity Movement in Chemnitz.

resistance and challenges

While the identity movement in Chemnitz and the surrounding area wants to expand its activities, the resistance to it is also formed. A broad bundling from the city society in Chemnitz wants to oppose these efforts and plans to create a similar alliance as in Halle on the Saale in order to push back the right -wing extremist movement. It remains exciting to observe how the different forces will develop in Chemnitz and whether the protest can effectively prevail against the identities

The situation in Chemnitz once again shows that dealing with right -wing extremism in Germany is anything but over. The identity movement remains a serious phenomenon that must be met with attention. Stay tuned, because there is a lot going on here!
