Pasture path in Rottluff: construction work successfully completed!
In the Rottluff district, the pasture path will be reopened to traffic on Monday, September 2nd. After months of extensive construction work, the renovation work has now been completed on schedule. The construction project included numerous important improvements that will significantly improve not only traffic flow but also infrastructure in the region.
A variety of work was carried out in a collaboration between the traffic and civil engineering department of the city of Chemnitz, the city's waste disposal company and eins energie in sachsen GmbH & Co. KG. This includes the construction of a new storm water canal and the laying of a new drinking water pipe. At the same time, empty conduits for power cables and street lighting were installed to accommodate the growing modern infrastructure.
Extensive construction work
The pasture path stretches for around 450 meters between Kalkstraße and Kräuterweg. The entire construction work also includes the new construction of the roadway and sidewalk and was financed at around 1.25 million euros. The contractor for this important task was ATS Chemnitz GmbH, which coordinated the work efficiently.
Construction work began in August 2024 with a complete closure of the road in sections. This first phase of construction was necessary to ensure the safety of workers and to enable smooth execution. Signs indicating diversions guided road users safely around the construction site.
