Club week: birthday parties and exciting games await fans!

This week there is a lot of interesting things on the program for the football club in Cologne. On Monday, November 3, 2025, two club legends will be celebrated: Roland Grahammer, who played for the club from 1983 to 1988, will be 62 years old, while Hans Meyer, who played a key role in the club's cup victory, will celebrate his 83rd birthday. An additional reason to be happy is that the season ticket for the second half of the season is now available exclusively to members. Tickets for tomorrow's ClubWomen's game are also available for purchase.

On Tuesday, the Klose team will prepare for the away game against Dresden. There will be a public training session at 3 p.m. that is sure to attract many fans. In the evening, the FC Bayern women will take on the club women at 6 p.m. and ensure more football action in the cathedral city.

Festive announcements and birthday wishes

Interestingly, an Advent singing in the stadium was announced for Wednesday, which will take place on December 22nd. A lovely occasion at this contemplative time of year that brings fans together.

An exciting day is also on the cards on Thursday when head coach Miroslav Klose invites you to the matchday press conference at 12 p.m. to share news about the challenges ahead. Jérome Polenz, the assistant coach, will also be celebrating his 39th birthday on Friday, while Georg Margreitter, another former club player, will be 37 years old. Norbert Eder, who was active in defense from 1974 to 1984, would have even celebrated his 70th birthday on this day.

Another important game is scheduled for Friday: Klose's team will face Dynamo Dresden at 6:30 p.m. and the team will give everything to keep the points at home.

Youngsters and other games

There are several exciting events on Saturday. Jawhar Mnari, who played with us from 2005 to 2010, turns 49. The U23s will also be on the pitch against SpVgg Hankofen-Hailing at 2 p.m., while the U17s can look forward to another duel in Hoffenheim at the same time.

And to round off the week, the ClubFrauen will play in Hamburg on Sunday at 2 p.m. Spectators can look forward to exciting matches that will show the entire spectrum of women's football.

Health connections in current research

Perhaps the discussion about prevention could also be integrated into discussions with those affected and their relatives in the long term. For example, a British study found that administration of the Shingles vaccine was associated with a significant reduction in the risk of developing dementia over seven years. This shows how important it is to also look at the “science behind the scenes” in health care.

This week in Cologne doesn't just have sporting highlights to offer. Social and health issues are also given space and bring additional facets into play.
