Dynamo Dresden is subject to Slavia Prague 2: 4 in the test game!
The SG Dynamo Dresden had to give up 2: 4 on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in a friendly against SK Slavia Prague. In front of around 19,000 spectators, including 2,000 loyal dynamo fans, the atmosphere in the sold-out stadium was electrifying, but the guests from Prague proved to be the stronger team. As already reported MDR, the first half-time result of 0-0 remained compensated for.
The Dynamo goalkeeper Daniel Mesenhöler showed a strong performance in the first 45 minutes and prevented them with two parade actions. But right after the change of sides, Vasil Kusej gave the Prague 1-0 in the 47th minute. Despite a post shot from Nils Fröling in the 50th minute, the Czechs increased between the 58th and 65th minute to 4: 0 by goals by David Doudera, Divine Teah and Daiki Hashioka. The last minutes of the game were once again Dynamo, which was able to shorten in the final phase to 2: 4 by hits from Fröling and Friedrich Müller, as Blick reported.
The course of the game in detail
The first half offered an exciting duel in which Dynamo played well, but did not find the right punch. Thomas Stamm, the Dynamo coach, took this opportunity to use all healthy professionals and some young talents. However, important players such as Niklas Hauptmann and goalkeeper Tim Schreiber were missing due to injury. After the half -time break, Stamm had his entire team changed to bring a fresh wind into play, but that did not bring the desired effect.
The number of spectators of almost 19,000 was a nice sight, but the mood could have been better. Even if Dynamo had a considerable number of 28,691 fans in the home stadium last season, the team was not in the best light in this friendly game. However, such test games serve above all of the preparation, and so Dynamo will have to start the new season on July 20 against FSV Zwickau and on August 3 against Greuther Fürth.
look into the statistics
Last season Dynamo Dresden was the team with the highest number of spectators in the 3rd league, as well as an analysis of the FootyStats. The average number of spectators per game was 17,043, which is a strong argument for the popularity of the association. With the support of their fans, players can look optimistically into the upcoming challenges.
Although the result against Slavia Prague is sobering, the anticipation for the new challenges that the coming season brings remains unbroken. Dynamo Dresden will do everything possible to use this experience as an incentive and to return more.
