Schaubudensummer in Dresden: Art, Magic and Adventure Hand over!

In the coming days, the Dresden Neustadt is transformed into a living stage for art and entertainment. The Schaubuden-Sommer , the International Summer Festival for Theater, Music and Pleasure, takes place from July 1 to 3, 2025. A colorful program awaits visitors every day from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Schaubude summer is now an integral part of the cultural calendar in Dresden and brings together over 20 artists from Germany and Europe. Tag24 reported for the first time and now on the main street in the third year. Here visitors can bizarre everyday formances and creative contributions from numerous street artists: attend inside.

The highlights of the festival include impressive performances by renowned artists such as the stage magician Jan everyak, the humorous Shiva Grings and the Circus ensemble Common Ground. Daan Mathot and Vincent de Rooij are also represented with their play "Cloakroom". The balancing act of Slackline World Champion Ruben Langer, which acts between two houses at a height of 20 meters, will be a very special Highlight.

The venues are peppered with further surprises, including the smallest cinema in the world that shows short films. The demonstrations take place three times every day and are free of charge, whereby the artists are happy about donations.

The region offers other cultural events in parallel to the Schaubude summer. On July 5, the last performance of the play "Robin Hood" takes place on the Waldbühne Jonsdorf before the forest stage is extensively renovated. In addition, the opera "Der Freischütz" will take place on the Rathen Freischütz on July 25, which is under the musical direction of the Elblandphilharmonie. The environment thus offers a wide range of entertainment for cultural lovers.
