Faustball: Görlitz disappointed after match ball and descends!

Görlitz, Deutschland - On the last matchday of the season, the fistball players of SV Energie Görlitz had to accept a bitter setback. Against ASV Veitsbronn they could not use a decisive match ball in the fifth set and finally lost the game. It is therefore clear that the Görlitzer must descend and have not achieved their goal of leaving the direct competitor TV Schweinfurth-Oberndorf behind. A victory would have meant seventh place, but now it is time to reflect the season with disappointment, but also a certain pride. Trainer Maren Ludwig looked back on the season, which offered a significantly better performance than the previous one. Despite the defeat, she saw potential in the team, which was characterized above all by the fighting spirit and the increase in performance.

The course of the game was exciting: the first two sentences went to the guests with 9:11 and 8:11, but then Görlitz turned up and secured the third and fourth sentences in extra time (14:12, 12:10). Lara Olbrisch showed an outstanding attack performance, but the team had to deal with injuries, which restricted the support. As the only team from the east in the first and second Bundesliga, Görlitz fully relies on his own youngsters. Almost all players are committed as trainers in the youth area, which is a good foundation for the future.

new challenges in the indoor season

With the change of the season, the first games of the hall round have already been announced, which will start next Sunday. SV Energie Görlitz competes against TSV Calw, who comes optimistic from a successful field round and was able to achieve the unofficial South Master title. The team led by trainer Melanie Münzenmaier has the goal of doing well in the hall and achieving a medal at the upcoming competitions. The challenge is feasible, especially since at least the since then was promising and the squad is promising.

In total, there are several teams that will compete in the indoor season. Among them is the TV Stammheim and TSV Ötisheim, as well as TV Unterhaugstett, which has to report some departures. In contrast, TSV Pfungstadt has been able to strengthen its ranks and is confident in the upcoming games. A highlight will certainly be the German championship, which will take place on February 17th and 18th. Here it is decided which teams from the south will fight for a place in the final. The preparations are already in full swing and all teams are wildly determined to fight for the title.

The view of the table already has the dynamics and the fighting spirit of the teams involved. The young promoted team from Görlitz has collected the game practice in the preparation and will do everything possible to survive in the coming indoor season. The challenge is great, but the team's potential promises promising games. It remains to be seen whether they will succeed in returning to the 1st Bundesliga. The first course for the future will be set soon, and the fistball community can be excited to see how the teams will present themselves. The first challenge is waiting for Görlitz and the competition in the south in a few days.

Overall, it is to be hoped that the experiences of the past season will not only be used for the new challenges, but the joy of the game will also be increased. The fistball community is alive and full of passion, which makes up the attraction of this sport. Soon we will be able to experience the next exciting encounters, and one thing is certain: the fistball players from Görlitz do not give up!
