Five new trains between Dresden and Görlitz from 2027 - more space for commuters!

Görlitz, Deutschland - The rail connections between Dresden and Görlitz are becoming increasingly important. According to

The Trilex will use five additional railcars in Eastern axes, which are supposed to cover around 750,000 kilometers annually. These new vehicles will be used in particular on the route between Dresden and Görlitz. The DLB, operator of the Trilex brand, plans to equip the regional train trains with two and the regional express trains with three railcars. This not only increases the offer more attractive, but also the comfort for travelers. So it remains exciting how the rail connections will develop.

Current restrictions in cross -border traffic

Länderbahn
, there are currently considerable restrictions in small border traffic on lines D62 and D18 between Görlitz and Zgorzelec. On these routes, train traffic begins and ends at the Zgorzelec train station. Although the trains of the KD line D62 drive in day traffic, several pairs of trains are out on the edge of the day until further notice.

Interested travelers should also pay attention to the Polear features of the D18 line: These are currently completely out between Görlitz and Zgorzelec. Instead, a rail replacement traffic has been set up, which brings some changes to the travel planning. Border controls could also lead to waiting times at the Görlitz-Stadtbrücke border crossing. The exact resumption of train traffic has not yet been determined, but the DLB trains of the RE1 line (Dresden-Görlitz-Zgorzelec) still continue to run without restrictions.

collaboration for the future
