Young motorcycle heroine Smilla Divine conquers the podium on the Sachsenring!

Sachsenring, Deutschland - Last weekend the Northern Talent Cup awaited at the Sachsenring. The 14-year-old Smilla Göttlich from Eibau caused a stir when she took third place in the first race. Smilla, who went into the race as a wildcard driver, had previously convinced in the ADAC-Junior-Cup . On the Honda, which she had only driven for the race, she mastered the challenge perfectly.

And how did she do that? Although she only took 11th place in time training and was not entirely satisfied with her performance, she increased significantly in the race. The rain that accompanied the race was an additional challenge, especially since Smilla had never driven beforehand on the Honda. After a weak start, in which she fell back to the 19th place, she started an impressive catch -up. After the first round she was already in 13th place and quickly fought her way forward.

The leader's setback ensured that Smilla could climb up further. She reached 7th place and then accelerated properly. In the last rated round, she was faster than all other drivers and briskly on the road for over three seconds. Unfortunately, the race was canceled due to the heavy rain, but their performance spoke in for themselves. The second race on Sunday ended in a solid ninth place, only five seconds behind the winner, which shows more promising approaches.

In addition to Smilla, the rest of the field also showed strong performance. Fynn Kratochwil and Robin Siegert from Northern Talent Cup won the first race in their races 1 and 2nd Kratochwil after the demolition and led the qualifying, while Siegert was prompting itself from position seven to first place. The two provided the sound of the German national anthem at Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix .

Smilla would like to thank her team boss Carsten Freudenberg for the always support. But the adventure does not end here. The next appearance for the young pilot is already just around the corner. From July 18 to 20, it will start in the Czech Brno as part of the Moto-GP framework program. It remains to be seen whether she can also confirm her strong performance from the Sachsenring there!
