Yesterday, a group of pilgrims from the Dresden-Meißen diocese, led by Bishop Heinrich Timmerevers, caused a stir when they had an audience with Pope Leo XIV in Rome. A total of 280 pilgrims made their way to St. Peter's Square to meet thousands of believers from all over the world. The event was not only spiritually significant, but also a true community experience that many will remember fondly.
The day began with a morning prayer on the bus, which prepared the pilgrims for the general audience that followed. The highlight was the entry of the Holy Father in the Popemobile, which was followed by an exciting morning. The lively life in Trastevere couldn't be missed either, and at the end of the day we met in the church of Santa Maria in Trastevere to celebrate a holy mass.

The celebration of Holy Mass was led by Vicar General Andreas Kutschke, who took up the theme of “amazement” in his sermon. The service was musically accompanied by a project choir from the pilgrimage group, and it became clear: this day, which culminated in dinner in the Fieramosca restaurant, will go down in history as one of the most beautiful moments of this pilgrimage week.
