French conquer Riesa: Triathlon weekends cause a sensation!

Moritzburg, Deutschland - A touch of France is currently blowing through the Saxon Riesa. Sébastien Rehibi and Delphine Petitmangin from Villerupt are part of a twelve -headed group that arrived in Riesa on Thursday. Your visit was organized by the “Riesa and the World” town twinning club and committed itself to sport, with the climax on Saturday at the 23rd Castle Triathlon in Moritzburg. There, the athletes in the half -distance are down to business - that means about two kilometers swimming, 90 kilometers cycling and running more than 20 kilometers. On Friday morning, a tour of the Riesa monastery was on the program before going to the route in Moritzburg on Friday afternoon. After an overnight stay in Riesa, the athletes travel back to the competition location on Saturday morning and then faced the competition. It will be exciting how the participants of the association "Triathlon Grand Villerupt 54" beat among the almost 1,800 starters that are expected for the weekend.

23. Castle triathlon in Moritzburg

The 23rd Castle Triathlon takes place on June 14 and 15, 2025 and promises a lot for the whole family. The long distance, half -distance and relay competitions are on the program on Saturday, while on Sunday the Olympic distance and everyone will be held on Sunday. A special highlight this year is that the swimming part in the picturesque castle pond, after it had to be canceled last year for fish death, can take place again.
