Großenhain is upgrading: New rescue station strengthens emergency care!

Wednesday brought a breath of fresh air in Großenhain: District Administrator Ralf Hänsel and Mayor Sven Mißbach visited the Großenhain Electrical Center (EZG) to find out about current developments. It was a long-planned appointment and the first time that Hansel had set foot on the premises of the prestigious company. Managing director Marko König warmly welcomed the two guests and gave an insight into the diverse activities of the company, which is active in the field of electrical engineering throughout Germany and Europe. The spectrum ranges from the installation of electrical systems in residential and administrative buildings to more complex projects in industry and commerce. Particularly noteworthy is the company's own training room, where young talent is trained under the best conditions. The company is also known for its integration services, although foreign qualifications are not recognized.

During the visit, District Administrator Hänsel expressed his thanks for the cooperation with the district office regarding the accelerated skilled worker process. The EZG plans to focus more regionally and would like to remain attractive for its 125 employees, particularly within a radius of 150 km. The background is the declining willingness to take on assembly work and longer absences from home. A welcome center will be set up in the Meißen district to further support integration and attract new skilled workers.

Tour of the new rescue station

Another item on the agenda was the tour of the new rescue station in Großenhain, which is scheduled to be handed over to the user at the end of September 2023. Installation work is currently underway here and the full commissioning will not only strengthen emergency care in Großenhain, but also relieve the burden on the surrounding area when it comes to providing quick medical help. This shows how important the construction of such institutions is for the entire region.

New judo sports hall for the region

The construction site of the new judo sports hall in the Husarenviertel sports park was also on the agenda. This will not only be available to judokas, but also to other sports clubs and schools. The project costs amount to around two million euros, including funding. Another step towards a sportingly active community in Großenhain.

Overall, District Administrator Hänsel's visit shows how important local cooperation is and what clout the region has when it comes to training places and the creation of the necessary infrastructure. The path is clear: integrative approaches and regional orientation will continue to be the focus in the future.
