New party format in Meißen: Bass on the Bus” attracts young people!

The new event series “Bass on the Bus” will be launched in Meißen on July 18th. With a first party in the youth bus at Akti, the JuClu16 association and its leader Michael Sengle are excited to let local youth culture shine in a fresh light. It all started with the former youth party “Sun & Bass”, which had to be closed due to problems with alcoholic adults. The first event in this series took place yesterday and was met with great interest - up to 300 young people took part in “Sun & Bass”, and around 50 took part in the premiere of “Bass im Bus”.

From 7 p.m. on Thursday things get really busy around the youth bus. “Bass in the Bus” promises a relaxed atmosphere with chilled out music, changing DJs, table football, billiards and refreshing drinks. In order not to cause any stress for the residents, the event will end at 10 p.m., which was already well received at the last party. “The feedback was consistently positive,” emphasizes Sengle, “complaints have decreased significantly since the bus was installed in December 2023.” The hope is to revitalize youth culture in Meißen and at the same time create a safe environment for everyone involved.

New concept for youth

The idea for “Bass on the Bus” was developed out of the need to create a fair and non-violent environment for young people. So Sengle came up with a new concept based on the previous event. “We want to offer young people a place where they can socialize and have fun without the risk of drunk adults disrupting the atmosphere.”

The future of “Bass on the Bus” is exciting. Michael Sengle states that a return to “Sun & Bass” would be possible if the events continue to take place without stressful moments. “We have a good knack for what young people need,” says Sengle optimistically. “If everything goes well, we could organize a big event like ‘Sun & Bass’ again in the future.”
