On June 21, 2025, the tram depot in Meißen, located on Jasperstrasse, invites you to an exciting open day. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., interested visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating history of public transport. The event is organized by the “Initiative Saxon Railway History” (ISEG) and promises a varied program for young and old.
But what exactly can visitors expect? In addition to a variety of original vehicles and relics from Meißen's tram and narrow-gauge railway history, special exhibits from the Dresden Transport Museum will also be on display. This day therefore offers a unique opportunity to find out about the region's extremely interesting transport history.

Among the objects on display, the freight railway locomotive from the Dresden Transport Museum, which was in use until the end of the 1960s, stands out. The departure times are 9:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 1:45 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. - and these trips are also free.
