Hainichen celebrates: park festival with Linda Feller and rifle parade!

From July 18 to 20, the city park in Hainichen becomes the backdrop of one of the largest festivals in the area - the park festival. This event has a long tradition and was celebrated every five years until 20 years ago. Since then it has been taking place annually, with the exception of the sunless Corona break. Like Blick , the park festival has both cultural and social importance for the citizens of the city and always arrives well!

This year, visitors can expect a particularly colorful program design. Linda Feller, known as the "Queen of Country", will be on stage on Saturday at 4 p.m. It is her first official appearance in Hainichen, even if she is well familiar with the city from previous visits. She will present her new production "My heart beats without you" and promises to inspire the guests with their hits.

The park festival offers much more than just music. From encounters to culinary delights to sporting honors. Ralf Minge, a former Dynamo Dresden football professional, will take over the sports ceremony. The former GDR champion not only wrote football history, but will also ensure a festive setting. In addition, the park festival will be celebrated this year together with the shooting festival of the privileged rifle guild Hainichen. The traditional rifle parade takes place on Saturday and the new rifle king will be determined on Sunday.

In recent years, the park festival has continued to develop. In 2022, visitors were able to admire the redesigned bird and wild enclosures and the new open-air stage was a highlight of the event. The response of the participants was consistently positive; Numerous guests came from different regions of Saxony and the city partnership with Dorsten was strengthened by many friendly encounters. For this festival, around 50 to 60 guests from Dorsten are also expected to make the atmosphere tangible.

An exciting event as part of the park festival is the Envia cities competition, in which the participants compete against each other on inpatient bicycles to collect kilometers. Hainichen had taken third place last year, and everyone is excited to see whether this can be done again this year or may even be improved!

And not only with his charming manner, but also by the various attractions that are distributed over the entire duration of the festival. From culinary offers along Oederaner Straße to a diverse entertainment program - there is something for everyone. The beer garden "Pharmacy in the Park" from Schmiedelandhaus Greifendorf is a new enrichment that will certainly attract many visitors.

The park festival is not only a festival for the senses, but also for conviviality. The family atmosphere and the unity of the Hainichener, coupled with the encounters with the guests, make it a special experience. This happens not least thanks to the commitment of everyone involved who do their best to give visitors unforgettable days.
