Hainichen is looking for detectives: Discover lost buildings in the new calendar!

The city of Hainichen brings a breath of fresh air into the calendar landscape! The new calendar for 2026 is now available, which pays special attention to the city's history. Mayor Dieter Greysinger emphasizes the importance of this calendar and describes it as an exciting product that invites you to discover, puzzle and participate. “We want to bring these historic, cityscape-defining buildings that no longer exist back into the minds of citizens,” he explains.

The calendar includes twelve depicted buildings that played an important role in Hainichen's history. The challenge for buyers is figuring out where these buildings originally were. There is no targeted support here: The calendar does not contain any information about the locations of the objects shown. But that's also part of the game! Those interested can go to the city archives, the library or talk to older residents of the city to decipher the mysterious places.

Rewards for inquisitive explorers

There are incentives for everyone who accepts the challenge! Anyone who can correctly assign all the objects has the chance to take part in a raffle with attractive prizes. The main prize? A “burger consultation” with the mayor himself in the popular Apotheke im Park restaurant, including delicious food and drinks. Of course, legal action is out of the question, but that only makes the whole thing even more exciting!

The price for the calendar is 10 euros and is available directly in the city library and in the guest office at Markt 9. For anyone who wants to delve deeper into the history of Hainichen, this is a real must!

Looking back at past calendars

This calendar has been published annually since 2006 and is very popular. Produced in just 300 copies, a reprint is not planned, which makes the purchase particularly valuable. The price has remained unchanged at 10 euros since its introduction - a fair price for this beautiful journey through time. Early purchase is strongly recommended due to the limited edition!

The design of the calendar is in the creative hands of Steffen Krätzsch, while archivist Angela Brehm actively supported the selection of images. A great team that makes a great contribution to preserving Hainichen history!

So if you're looking for a special gift for former Hainichen residents or just for yourself in the next few months, you shouldn't miss out on the calendars. The mix of history, community spirit and puzzle fun is sure to delight many!
