A joint project of the district, wastewater operation, municipal utility and the city cost around 500,000 euros for the expansion of over 370 meters in length. However, the residents still have to pay a little patience, as sidewalks still have to be paved on the eastern side of the street. At the moment half of the stones are set and some residents are still waiting for the final completion of the work.

The delays in both projects are close to the weather conditions, which have often been inconsistent in recent months. In the case of frost and rain, concrete and asphalting work are simply not possible. The affected residents have recently not only struggled with construction sites, but also with weather intensity.

Overall, however, it shows that developments run in the right direction in both Langenstriegis and in Ueckermünde: the infrastructure is improved, even if some tempo waves and diversions have to be overcome. While the people in Langenstriegis hope for an early solution, the Ueckermünde are optimistic about the completion of their street soon.
