Trampolines for children in Ukraine: Hainichen tackles despite war!

In the middle of the holiday preparations in Saxony, people in Ukraine and other crisis areas such as the Gaza Strip, Israel and Iran are concerned about the coming weeks. With a look at reality in Ukraine, in which, despite the war, an unusual request recently received, the aid organizations in Hainichen are preparing for their next transport. Project manager Thomas Kretschmann reported on an inquiry to get trampolines for children and adolescents so that they can experience a little distraction and joy during the holidays. This initiative is part of an extensive auxiliary transport that will be loaded shortly. With around 14 tons of relief goods, the 33rd transport has been set to Ukraine since the beginning of the war, such as the sächsische reported.

The pallet of donations in kind is varied: from hospital beds to wheelchairs to clothing - the helpers have put together a lot. Nevertheless, there is still a need. In particular, hygiene items, diapers, sleeping bags, tents, air mattresses and other relief supplies are urgently sought. Despite the declining support after more than three years of conflict, the helpers are optimistic, thanks to unexpected help from parishes, municipalities and committed private individuals. "We have a good hand at the organization. Solidarity is shown in every donation," says Kretschmann.

medical necessities in the focus

In order to alleviate suffering in Ukraine, the focus is also on medical aid deliveries. On May 4, the 150th aid transport of the Maltese started, in which 44 pallets with medication and medical consumables were sent according to LWIW in Ukraine. The medical material, donated by the health group Fresenius, comes at the right time, because the health facilities in the east of Ukraine are overloaded. Pavlo Titko, Head of Maltese Ukraine, emphasizes that there is a high need for medication for chronically ill people in the hospitals. The Aktion germany emphasizes the urgency of medication, field beds for refugees and food become.

The transport of auxiliary goods is facilitated by special regulations. Humanitarian auxiliary transports are excluded from the regulations on steering and rest periods, which makes it easier to implement the operations as a whole. Transport organizations can rely on the respective regulations to ensure that the urgently needed relief supplies arrive in good time. Information on this, including the carrying obligations for transports, can be found at the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility .
