Industrial wasteland becomes culture: Oschatz celebrates a new creative place!

Oschatz shines in new splendor! For six months, craftsmen have been working on the site of the old clay factory to create a place for culture and community from the former industrial wasteland. Investor Stephan Büttner, who took over the site from an antique and furniture dealer, is bringing a breath of fresh air to the city with his vision and tireless commitment. Next weekend, more precisely on August 16th and 17th, he cordially invites everyone who is curious to the open day.

Even before this big event, the exhibition “Pixels and Pigments – Art in Architecture” was opened, which includes impressive works by the Oschatz artist Anke Tamm. Their works, which provide an exciting contrast to the harsh surroundings, are considered inspiring and give the place a special touch. The Hamburg artist Reinhard Gedack is also there and presents fascinating AI-generated images that are very trendy these days. Visitors are invited to be impressed by these creative achievements and at the same time admire the renovated old factory facade, which can now be used for numerous events.

Cultural diversity and future plans

Büttner is receiving a lot of praise for his efforts and is already planning the first events. In addition to a colorful flea market, participation in the nationwide reading day in November is also planned. On the open day, visitors have the opportunity to explore the entire site and find out about accommodation options, restaurants and seminar rooms. In the spirit of community, a place should be created for families, creative people and those who like to experiment.

Numerous actors and city councilors from Oschatz are invited to this opening ceremony to celebrate the renewal of this cultural attraction together. Büttner and Gedack share a similar creative attitude and are both interested in new technologies, which promises artistically fruitful synergies. The atmosphere of the old clay works, combined with innovative works of art, creates an inspiring environment for creativity.

In summary, the old Tonwerk in Oschatz is not only a space for artistic exchange, but also a place where the community can come together. There's a lot to experience - it's best to stop by for yourself! Visit the open day and be inspired by the new possibilities of the location!
