A spectacular chase with a stolen car reached its dramatic climax in the Dahlener Heide last weekend. A 27-year-old German man who was driving a black Skoda is now facing a series of criminal offenses. Arrest and investigation
After all, there were some serious allegations that are now being made against the 27-year-old. After consultation with the public prosecutor's office, the man was temporarily arrested and transferred to central police custody in Leipzig. There, a judge issued an arrest warrant, after which he was transferred to a correctional facility. He is being investigated for theft, fraud, driving without a license, driving under the influence of drugs and a prohibited motor vehicle race L-IZ from the current police report.
However, the incidents clustered around November 9th are not just limited to the chase. There was also a robbery in Leipzig on the same day. A 49-year-old man in Altlindenau was threatened with a knife by an attacker and robbed of his shoulder bag, which contained personal items and cash. The police are looking for witnesses in this connection and information is urgently requested.
