Saxony shines at Gamescom: 24 exhibitors for Leipzig at the start!
In the next few days, Cologne will once again become the epicenter of the video game scene, as the coveted computer games fair Gamescom opens its gates. From August 20th, the city expects more than 335,000 visitors and over 1,500 exhibitors from 72 countries. The anticipation is building, especially with the opening on Tuesday August 19th, which begins with the spectacular “Opening Night Live” at 8pm CEST. This will also be streamed on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube and promises exciting announcements, including news about“Resident Evil Requiem”and“World of Warcraft Midnight”.
Particularly noteworthy is Saxony's joint stand, which includes 24 exhibitors - five more than last year. Among these is the company Fusionplay from Leipzig, which has its game“Nice Day for Fishing”draws attention to itself. Anja Hähle-Posselt, head of the city of Leipzig's Office for Economic Development, sees this commitment as a great opportunity for the local economy. The stand is intended to increase the visibility of Leipzig companies and promote contacts with new locations. Gamescom 2025 program highlights
Gamescom will continue with a trade visitor day on Wednesday before the gates open to the general public from August 20th to 24th. The schedule of opening events offers exciting insights into the latest developments in the gaming industry. The highlights include:

- „Awesome Indies“ Showcase am 21. August um 18 Uhr CEST.
- „FGS Best of Gamescom“ am 24. August um 20 Uhr CEST, mit Entwicklerinterviews und Gameplay-Demos.
In addition, Xbox streams will be broadcast on the mornings of August 20th and 21st, including games such as“Grounded 2”andBlack Ops 7present. Bethesda will be joining in with developer interviews and game presentations starting August 22nd.
