Ore Mountains in the magic of Christmas: Experience markets and enjoyment up close!
The Erzgebirge Tourism Association (TVE) has done a lot to put the beauty of the region in the spotlight. From October 30th to November 2nd, 2025, TVE will be presenting itself at the “Reisen & Caravan” trade fair in Erfurt with a 30 square meter shared stand. In addition to attractive travel inspiration for 2026, the upcoming Christmas and winter offers are also highlighted. Visitors can look forward to a colorful variety of regional products such as Lauterbach spirits and traditional Erzgebirge wood art. Not to be forgotten is the stand at the “Touristik & Caravaning” trade fair in Leipzig, where TVE will be represented as one of the largest exhibitors on an impressive 99 square meters in Hall 4.13 from November 19th to 23rd, 2025. These measures are intended to boost tourism and promote the rediscovery of the beautiful Erzgebirge region, which is still very popular today for its natural offerings.
One of the special attractions that the region has to offer are the Christmas markets in the Ore Mountains. Known for their unique beauty, they transform places like Schneeberg, Annaberg-Buchholz, Freiberg and Schwarzenberg into a magical winter wonderland. The festive atmosphere is accompanied by the tempting scent of bratwurst and mulled wine wafting through the cold winter air. Experience original Erzgebirge products such as the famous Annaberger Faltsterne and the exquisite almond stollen with a thick butter crust. But it's not just culinary delicacies that await guests: regional handicrafts, which have their roots in the Ore Mountains, produce popular accessories such as nutcrackers, smokers and candle arches, which make perfect gifts during the festive period.
