Feistenbergstraße in Pirna: Full closure due to construction work from June 23!

Feistenbergstraße 18, 01796 Pirna, Deutschland - The Pirna Stadtwerke will be facing an extensive construction site in the coming days that affects Feistenbergstrasse. From June 23 to 27, a gas house connection will be renewed there, which means that the area in the amount of house number 18 will be fully blocked during the day. Fortunately, Feistenbergstrasse remains accessible from both directions to the construction site, so that despite the circumstances, residents can continue to reach their properties. This is particularly important, as work takes place in the residential area on the Pfauenweg in the same period, where channels are inspected and cleaned. Here the check is carried out for possible damage in the dirt and rainwater main channels, as is the checking of the house connection lines on the land. Residents are asked not to park their vehicles on the street so as not to hinder traffic. During the sewer cleaning, there may also be slight noises and water leaks, for which the municipal utilities ask for understanding.

But that's not the only construction site that affects the citizens in Pirna. From June 10th to 17th, repair work on a gas pipe on Breiten Straße was already taking place. A half -sided blocking was set up here, which narrowed the turning traces towards Königsteiner Straße and Schandauer Straße. This work was carried out by the Steglich Tief- und Wegebau GmbH company, while the removal of leaks on the pipeline was taken over by the SPIE GSA company. In this context, Stadtwerke Pirna ask all road users and residents for understanding the necessary restrictions.

In addition to these short -term measures, the construction project for the fundamental expansion of the S 168 Struppener Straße is in full swing. This project includes the section from Aldi market to Herbert-Liebsch-Straße and started on July 15, 2024, with a planned duration until November 2025. The preparations for this massive construction site will be completed by the beginning of August 2024 and include, among other things, the sewer and sewage management construction and the renewal of drinking water and gas pipes. The street infrastructure is also modernized, whereby new sidewalks, cycling lanes and barrier -free bus stops are to be created. For citizens, however, this also means that diversion routes such as Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße and the northern Prof.-Joliot-Curie-Straße have to be used during construction times.

Overall, the costs for this expansion amount to around 5.43 million euros, of which a large part is covered by funding from the city of Pirna. The city administration and the municipal utility already thank the residents for their understanding and patience during the construction phases.

In times of constant renovation and renovation, it is once more evident that patience and flexibility are required. The municipal utilities are working on making the maintenance, repair and expansion work as smoothly as possible, and keeps the citizens up to date.
