Uwe Rahle returns after a break: New era at SV Chemie Dohna!

SV Chemie Dohna is facing exciting times! After an intensive season in the Saxony football league, a change of coach is now imminent. The Saxon reports that head coach Nico Kessler ended his engagement on June 30th. He is replaced by Uwe Rahle, who returns after a two-year break and accepts the challenge of leading the team to success.

Rahle, who was coach of SV Wesenitztal until 2023, did not originally decide to take a break. But the demands involved were simply too high for him. He used the time off for spontaneous vacations and worked on his house. There were several requests for coaching positions, but these often failed due to long travel distances or a lack of chemistry with the clubs. It is all the more pleasing that he felt at home at Chemie Dohna right from the start, thanks to the excellent infrastructure and the family atmosphere.

A breath of fresh air for the team

The squad will change, but most of the players will remain loyal to the team, while Eric-Pascal Plodek will be a new addition. Rahle has already observed the level of the Saxony class and sees a positive improvement. “It will be exciting to see how we manage the next steps together,” said the new coach.

With training starting on July 10th, there are also some preparatory games on the program. The opponents include Freital III, BSC Freiberg, Heidenauer SV, Cossebaude and Wacker Leuben. This is a good opportunity for the team to prepare optimally for the new season.

Successes in the women's BFS

But it's not just the men's team that is doing well. The ladies of SV Chemie Dohna have also achieved great things. This is how it gets loud Chemistry Dohna On the last championship match day in the women's BFS league SOE against Progress Pirna fought for first place in the table. In order to defend the title, it was necessary to win at least one set in the decisive game against Mohorn.

After an initial deficit, the team managed to win the second set 25:22 thanks to committed play and finally secured victory in the decisive tiebreak with 15:12. The impressive team spirit and determination not to give up were evident throughout the tournament and made the final day of the match an emotional experience.

The next steps are now clear: While one team prepares for the coming season, the women want to build on their successes and continue to play at the top of the league. Thanks go to Dr. Ralf Müller for the excellent planning and organization, as well as to all the helpers and fans who actively support the teams.

The next few weeks promise an exciting time for SV Chemie Dohna, both on and off the pitch. The new coaching era under Uwe Rahle is eagerly awaited!
