Something is happening in the Erzgebirge! Francine, a 20-year-old creative soul, brings a breath of fresh air to the tradition of the Advent calendar. Inspired by the annual handicrafts with her sister, she has made it her mission to revive the tradition with her own Erzgebirge Advent calendar. As Blick reports, the idea came about in 2024. A year later, between March and May 2025, she diligently collected ideas and sought contact with small manufacturers and traditional businesses from the region in order to develop their ideas To present craftsmanship and culinary specialties in your calendar.

A total of 24 lovingly designed surprises from the Ore Mountains await buyers. 20 different manufacturers are involved, including craft businesses known for their incense cones. Francine focuses on diversity and quality and wants to make the treasures of her homeland visible. The packaging is entrusted to a company from Eibenstock, while the manual work is entirely in Francine's hands. A calendar takes around 15 minutes to produce. She is supported by her sister and friends, who mainly help with social media.
