On Wednesday evening, FSV Zwickau crowned its friendly match against VfB Auerbach in the GGZ Arena with a narrow 1-0 win. The decisive goal came barely five minutes after kick-off by Daniel Haubner in the 2nd minute. Despite the early deficit, Auerbach showed fighting spirit and tried to break through the Zwickau defense, but without success. Preparations and first successes
The match against Auerbach was just the first test match for the upcoming 2025/2026 season. In a preparatory game against SG 48 Schönfels, the district league champions, Zwickau was able to impressively show what they were made of. The team secured victory with an overwhelming 11-0, with newcomer Lennert Möbius overpowering with three goals.
