On Wednesday evening, FSV Zwickau crowned its friendly match against VfB Auerbach in the GGZ Arena with a narrow 1-0 win. The decisive goal came barely five minutes after kick-off by Daniel Haubner in the 2nd minute. Despite the early deficit, Auerbach showed fighting spirit and tried to break through the Zwickau defense, but without success. The game was characterized by intense duels and ended with only a yellow card for Ondrej Brejcha in the 27th minute.

In the first half, Zwickau failed to extend their lead, although they were able to take advantage of several chances. The match against Auerbach was just the first test match for the upcoming 2025/2026 season.
