On the last weekend in June, the traditional district tent camp of the youth fire brigades of the Altenburger Land took place on the Pahna Seecampingplatz. The 26th edition of this popular event attracted a total of 636 participants from all over the district as well as guests from Gera and Offenburg. In a colorful supporting program, there were exciting competitions for the district cup in several age groups. as ABG-info.de reports , the focus was on discipline, team spirit and the correct handling of fire brigade equipment.

The municipality of Nobitz was particularly successful, while Altenburg achieved a considerable third place in the oldest age group. The district tent camp has now established itself as a fixed date in the calendar of the youth fire brigades and represents an important platform for promoting young talent in volunteering.
