Eichsfeld inspires: holiday activities, concerts and exciting tours!
In the coming days, the Eichsfeld region can expect an exciting program with various events and developments. From cultural events to important information sessions to outdoor activities, there is something for everyone.
On Monday, July 21st, at 6:30 p.m. there will be an exchange of experiences on cash and bookkeeping in clubs in Leinefelde. The event takes place at Kuhnertstrasse 7-11 and deals with the practical implementation of the legal regulations for club accounting. Anyone interested can register by phone at 03605/546151 or by email at urania@urania-eichsfeld.de. Such events are particularly important in a region that, like Eichsfeld, despite its rural character, has a lively club landscape that often relies on voluntary work.
Creative holiday activities in the nature park
For little explorers, the Eichsfeld-Hainich-Werratal Nature Park is offering a creative holiday activity on Tuesday, July 22nd, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. At the Fürstenhagen Nature Park Center, children can create artistic carvings out of hazelnut and elderberry wood under supervision. For a participation fee of just 3 euros, we recommend registering by July 20th to ensure you get a place.
Another highlight on July 20th is the butterfly hike and tour of the Schönhagen show garden. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., nature lovers have the opportunity to observe the colorful, fluttering inhabitants of the region. And best of all: the participation fee of 5 euros for adults is free for children up to 16 years of age, which makes this event also attractive for families.
Cultural offers and more
If you are looking for something for your ears, you should attend the concert with baritone Dilian Kushev in the St. Antonius Church in Worbis on Sunday, August 17th at 5 p.m. With free admission, visitors can enjoy romantic love songs and spiritual works.
A family tour of the alternative bear park in Worbis is also on the program on the same day from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Everything here revolves around animal protection and the fates of rescued bears and wolves. Participation is included in regular park admission and registration is required by July 19. This is part of an overarching trend in Germany, where animal protection is increasingly coming into focus, from the first efforts in the 19th century to current animal welfare legislation, which is now firmly anchored in the Basic Law (geo.de).
Practical information for the region
An important message for road users: Due to a construction site on Adenauerring, there is a temporary stopping ban on Rotewartestrasse in Duderstadt, which applies to both directions and is limited to eight weeks. In addition, the road between Windeberg and Keula is closed until around July 16th due to damage to the road.
The Eichsfeld region, which can be historically traced back to the year 897, offers a rich cultural heritage and a unique Catholic character in the predominantly Protestant north of Germany (wikipedia). These historical roots ensure a lively community culture and lively club life, which offers citizens a platform to be active and live in community.
With events tailored to the needs of the community, the Eichsfeld region shows once again that it has a lot to offer. Whether information exchange for clubs, creative leisure activities for children or cultural events - there is really something for everyone here.
