Autumn of literature is booming: stars, lectures and exciting events in Eichsfeld!

Everything in Göttingen currently revolves around literature! The Göttingen Literary Autumn thrilled this week with a total of 36 events. Among the prominent guests are icons such as Otto Waalkes, Bela B and the enchanting Jasna Fritzi Bauer, who provide literature lovers with unforgettable evenings. No matter whether in the hall or online, many tickets are available so that no one has to miss out on these highlights.

The reading with Christoph Kramer, the soccer world champion, who is now delving into literary realms, is particularly exciting. His debut novel “Life Began in Summer” tells of the challenges of a 15-year-old boy who wants to realize his dreams in football. In a time marked by upheaval, he encounters exciting situations during a nighttime road trip. And best of all: This event will be simultaneously translated into German sign language, which promotes inclusion even further. Since the hall tickets are already sold out, the organizers are pleased about the great interest in the ON AIR tickets, which enable digital access.

A colorful event program

What's coming up? In addition to the literary highlights, this week is also full of exciting programs on offer in the region. The seniors' afternoon begins on Tuesday in the Hilkerode parish home, while at the same time an online lecture about the influence of artificial intelligence in everyday life is being offered by the Lower Saxony Consumer Center.

A treat for music lovers is Chris de Burgh's concert, which begins at 7 p.m. in the Göttingen Stadthalle. And Wednesday also has some treats in store: from a Low German afternoon in the Hofcafé Gieboldehausen to the premiere of the play “Lovecraft Cult” in the Theater im OP.

Celebrations and festivals

The coming days are also packed for partygoers. On Thursday, the Halloween party at the Gerblingerode fire station at 5 p.m. will be a big event for young and old. Afterwards we go to the Elysium Worbis for the Ladies Shopping Night and at the Göttingen Apex there is great music with Bad Temper Joe.

Friday brings a wealth of family activities. Children in costumes can visit the Worbis Bear Park for free, and if you like, you can join in the pony party fun at the Schröter driving stable.

So many events can be quite tiring! But Saturday will offer a relaxing end with a historical tour and cozy concerts such as “Shalom – Church meets Synagogue” in the Cistercian Museum Walkenried Monastery. And for art enthusiasts there is the craft market in Rüdershausen on Sunday and the opportunity to enjoy the Piri Piri concert at the Junges Theater Göttingen.

So if you are still looking for inspiration and entertainment this week, you will find a wide range of options in Göttingen and the surrounding area. With a welcoming smile, we hope you have fun and enjoy discovering these cultural treasures!
