Pumpkin lymphony in the Egapark: A colorful herb traction for the whole family!
In the cathedral city of Cologne, time is gradually running into autumn: while the temperatures are falling, many Cologne residents begin to immerse themselves in the anticipation for the upcoming holidays. A special occasion is already in front of the door, which ensures colorful experiences: the pumpkin exhibition in Egapark in Erfurt. From September 6 to October 31, 2025, visitors can marvel at a large number of artistically designed pumpkin figures on the Phillippswiese, which are under the motto "Pumpkin symphony - from classical to pop".
For the event, creative minds have processed over 50,000 pumpkins to create a total of eleven impressive figures. This colorful scenery should not only offer a unique backdrop for photos, but also stimulate creative inspiration. But be careful: visitors are asked not to damage or steal the pumpkins - the fun should be preserved for everyone!
Attractions in the Egapark
On October 3, 2025, a holiday, a real festival for families in the Egapark is celebrated. In addition to the pumpkin exhibition, visitors can expect various attractions, including a playground, the children's farm, and the lookout tower. And best of all: a cover band will play the appropriate songs while our little astronauts can experience exciting activities at seven stations.
Autumn joy in the garden
The week of autumn also brings flowering plants in the Egapark. Hardensia, Mahonie and some other plants show up in full splendor and give the park landscape color. The last week of planting in the large flower bed has started and the first areas will be cleared from October 6th. For all garden fans: The flower bulbs for the spring blossom, including tulips, hyacinths and daffodils, are already being planted.
