But it's not just the MDR excursion that's just around the corner: the 34th Cave Festival will take place in the old town of Gera from October 3rd to 5th, 2025. At 2 p.m. Mayor Kurt Dannenberg taps the first barrel of beer and then things really get going!

The program is colorful and varied, with dance shows, concerts and children's entertainment.
