Baunach Young Pikes: New season awaits with exciting opponents!

Nine weeks after the last matchday in the 2nd Regionalliga North, the Baunach Young Pikes can look back on an exciting season. After securing 9th place with 8 wins and 14 defeats, the team now faces new challenges. This reports Newsamort.

Participation in the new season has been fixed since mid-May. The league continues to be exciting as the northern relay, in which the Baunach Young Pikes play, now has a total of 12 teams. Among the new faces are teams such as BIG Gotha 2, SV Automation 61 Leipzig and TG 48 Würzburg, all of which have been promoted from the upper leagues.

Up and down: new and old rivals

But it's not just new faces that are part of the league. Relegated teams such as Post SV Nürnberg and TSV Wolnzach have left the northern relay. It will be particularly challenging for the Young Pikes, who will have to prepare for many long journeys to Saxony and Thuringia in the coming season. In addition to the newcomers, the attractive opponents from Franconia also include well-known players such as Eggolsheim, Bayreuth and Würzburg.

On October 4th at 3 p.m. the Baunach Young Pikes start the new season with a home game against BIG Gotha 2 at the Hauptsmoor Basketball Center in Strullendorf. There is great anticipation, especially among the fans who will be cheering their team on for the new challenges.

Personnel changes in the team

Planning for the coming season is in full swing. Head coach Jörg Mausolf will remain with the team, and the good news is that the majority of the players are staying with the club. Nevertheless, some familiar faces will be leaving the Baunach Young Pikes. Nico Höllerl, Sean Ludwig and Abdul Karioui can no longer use a dual license due to their age, while Leon Schneider is moving to Vilsbiburg. Bar Amiel has also already left the team for the Czech Republic.

Tim Ludwig and Marlon Lippe are looking for new challenges, and Tim Sauer has also decided to move to another regional league team. Assistant coach Lucas Kolloch will be involved in the youth team of another club in the future. The Baunach Young Pikes keep their fingers crossed for all of these players and thank them for the work they have done.

Fans can look forward to the announcement of the new additions that will strengthen the team in the near future. In search of a breath of fresh air, the Young Pikes will once again try to put together a powerful team to achieve their goals in the regional league.

In this respect, it is not only the team mentality that characterizes the Young Pikes, but also the desire to further develop young talents, as has been the case in the past. Looking ahead to next season, we can only hope that the fans continue to attend the games in large numbers and support the team.
