Gotha invites you: Experience the 60th Europeade in Bergamo 2026!

The anticipation is great! From July 21 to 27, 2026, the 60th Europeade will take place in the picturesque city of Bergamo, Italy. On the occasion of this impressive event, the city of Gotha invites you to a citizens' trip. According to gotha.de, interested parties can register for the trip until November 14, 2025.

The Europeade is considered the largest folklore festival in Europe and is an important event that promotes encounters, cultural exchange and international understanding. Gotha has also hosted the Europeade twice and therefore brings a lot of experience with it. The journey begins in Gotha and leads via Innsbruck, where an overnight stay in a stylish 4-star Alphotel is planned. For those who would like to get to know Innsbruck better, an optional guided city tour is offered.

An unforgettable experience

After spending the night in Innsbruck, we continue to Bergamo, the venue for the Europeade. The participants stay there for four nights in the 4-star Hotel Cappello d’Oro, a BW Signature Collection, which is centrally located and offers direct access to the festivities. As europeade.eu describes, the Europeade is celebrated by around 5,000 dancers, musicians and singers from all over Europe who share their regional culture with citizens.

The festival offers a colorful mix of dance performances in large arenas and on the streets, a celebratory ball, a parade and an ecumenical service. Participants are dressed in traditional costumes and present their cultural heritage not only during the day but also at night events. A multifaceted program and all sorts of culinary delicacies ensure an unforgettable stay.

The registration

As already mentioned, interested parties can register at the sonnenklar travel agency Gotha until November 14, 2025. The exact address is Hauptmarkt 18, Gotha. If you have any questions, the friendly staff are available by phone at 03621 / 73 39 30 and by email at info-gotha@sonnenklar.de.

The Europeade is an excellent opportunity to celebrate your own cultural heritage while making friends across borders. The first Europeades took place in 1964, initiated by Mon de Clopper and Robert Müller-Kox, and the spirit of this traditional event has lost none of its power to this day (Wikipedia).

Take the chance to be part of this unique festival! Registering for the Citizens' Trip to Bergamo could be the key to an unforgettable experience full of music, dancing and new friendships.
