Huge tent city near Gotha: Camp and pray together!

In less than three weeks the time has come: on July 25, 2025, the eagerly awaited “Tent City 2025” begins in Neufrankenroda near Gotha. This event is one of the largest meeting places for Protestant Christians in Germany and is organized by the Evangelical Church in Central Germany (EKM). Around 2,000 participants from various churches and free churches have already registered for the event and will stay overnight in self-catering tents, caravans and mobile homes from July 25th to August 1st. A wonderful opportunity to combine faith and community!

The motto of the tent city, “Go all out!”, promises a varied program that revolves around the topics of faith and encounters. In addition to the daily Bible studies, sermons, seminars and workshops, a daily communion provides contemplative moments at the end of the day. Walter Lutz, the head of the tent city office, emphasizes how much the number of participants has grown over the last 25 years. This development shows how popular the event is.

Community recognition

The tent city is a long-term project of the Christ Service Association in close cooperation with the Siloah family community. The latter has transformed a 200-hectare former manor into an adventure farm and campsite that is ideal for such events. Around 300 volunteers are mobilized to organize and run the camp, which shows how much passion goes into this project. More information about the tent city is available here.

The event is not only aimed at permanent guests. Day guests are also welcome and expected. This openness promotes community and makes it possible to celebrate and deepen the Christian faith in a sociable setting.

An unforgettable experience

The community's commitment to this event is impressive and ensures that the tent city will not only be a place for recreation, but also one for meetings and exchanges. If you would like to be there, you still have the opportunity to book a place on the site. It's definitely worth becoming part of this unique experience The Evangelische Zeitung also reports.

Be there when Christians from all over Germany gather to camp together and live out their faith. Tent City 2025 promises not only a time of relaxation, but also of spiritual strengthening!
