Eintracht Hildburghausen celebrates: 9-2 win secures third place!

Eintracht Hildburghausen won a clear 9-2 win against Walldorf on June 15, 2025 and thus secured the coveted third place in the final table of the state class. This result marks the best result that FSV 06 has achieved since joining the league. The game was also Eintracht's 16th game series in the second highest division of the Thuringian Football Association.

In this exciting match, Walldorf was severely affected by personnel concerns and therefore used players from the second team as well as the two coaches, which made life easier for the Hildburghausen team. Daniele Angrisani was on the field for 75 minutes, while Steven Abe provided a breath of fresh air in the last 8 minutes. A spectacular game that shone both on the field and in the statistics - a complete success for Eintracht, who regained the full support of their fans.

An exciting children's football festival

However, the euphoria goes beyond the victory at the weekend. In the last two weeks, a children's football festival tournament organized by the KFA Südthüringen took place in Hildburghausen. There the little ones played against each other in the popular Funino game format for four goals. A special highlight of the week that has rekindled enthusiasm for football among the young players.

On May 1, 2025, Eintracht triumphed in the game against Gospenroda with a convincing 3-0. Here too the team showed a strong performance. The goals were scored by Andersch, Kreußel and Brückner, with Brückner scoring his goal from a corner. Such achievements are the reason why Eintracht's commitment is praised, especially when you consider that three members were recognized for their outstanding voluntary commitment at the Sparkasse Cup 2024. In front of 300 spectators, Manuel Grüneberger and two young coaches were honored for their achievements and thus sent a strong message for the club.

Football for everyone

At a time when inclusion is becoming increasingly important, involvement in football for people with disabilities is of great importance. The Sepp Herberger Foundation has further expanded its inclusion initiative, which has been operating in all 21 DFB regional associations since 2012. The aim is to make it easier for handicapped footballers to join the “football family”. Representatives are financed who take on a wide range of tasks in order to integrate people with disabilities into organized football, both actively and passively.

DFB Vice President Ralph-Uwe Schaffert emphasizes the opportunities in the approximately 24,500 football clubs to advocate for the interests of people with disabilities. These inclusion officers are available as contact persons, network with other offers, advise clubs and initiate partnerships. Such projects help create a harmonious and inclusive football culture.

In Hildburghausen it becomes clear: football is not just a sport, but a platform that promotes community and integration. Eintracht and its social football department do everything they can to bring young and old, with and without handicaps, together - because football is really fun together!
