On Sunday, November 3rd, 2025, the eagerly awaited FITNASS tour took place in the Jena-Lobeda swimming paradise. As jenaer-nachrichten.de reports, the event was fully booked to the last place, with a total of 30 teams, each consisting of four swimmers aged 8 and over. The challenge consisted of completing an impressive 17 meter long aqua track, which presented the participants with plenty of obstacles. The task was to get as many rubber ducks as possible to the other bank within three minutes.
The team “The Wild Water Otters”, consisting of Felix, Finn and Niklas, managed to win the challenge with 21 ducks despite only three members being present. The teams “DLRG Jena Jugend” and “Die Lehrs” took second place, both of which achieved 20 ducks and had to compete in an exciting play-off. Over 150 bathers were also in the swimming paradise, enjoyed the atmosphere of the event and the music, and had a lot of fun during the free course romp after the challenge.
A community project
The FITNASS tour was a joint project between DLRG Jena and BKK24, which was aimed at families, club groups and groups of friends. The event was supported by numerous clubs such as Wasserwacht, WSG Jena and H₂O Verein. A heartfelt thank you was also expressed to the Jenaer Bädergesellschaft and the volunteers who actively contributed to the success of the event.
The FITNASS tour offers more than just an exciting challenge. The aqua track, the central element of the event, is a captivating task with its large obstacles, sloping surfaces and moving walkways. “The event combines sporting aspects with fun,” said an organizer, and it is no wonder that the team challenge participants were also challenged to duel with other teams. After the final round, the Aqua Track was open to free use - a highlight for all water lovers.
