election campaign goals and challenges

"The strengthening of the revenue side will be a central challenge," emphasizes Buchmann. As a trained bank clerk and graduate in business administration, he brings a solid economic basis with him. He is currently working as a director in the corporate customer business of a medium -sized bank. He also wants to "have a good hand" in the implementation of his goals for Pliening, because the community has big plans, especially in the areas of education and digitization.

The CSU local association has 122 members and is therefore the fourth largest in the Ebersberg district. His voluntary commitment includes several years as a youth and treasurer in the tennis club and his work on the board of the youth room youth room, which was reopened after a long closure. According to Buchmann, the list of candidates for the municipal council has already been determined, and the goal for the local elections is ambitious: nine seats plus the mayor's office, there are currently eight seats plus mayor.

A look at the election

How the local elections in Bavaria runs is already well documented. On March 8, 2026, municipal representations in cities, municipalities and counties will be elected. This date was elected to deduct it from the Easter holidays, as reported pnp.de. The last community and district elections took place on March 15, 2020. The calculation procedure according to Sainte-Laguё/Schepers is used for the distribution of votes, in which the total number of votes is shared by odd numbers. This ensures a fair distribution of the seats, whereby the lot decides in the event of tension.

In a municipality with 7,000 inhabitants and 20 local council seats available, this procedure can be crucial for everyone involved. So it remains to be seen how the voters will set the course for the coming years.
