Experience the police up close: Trial day in Meiningen on October 29th!

On October 29, 2025, interested parties between the ages of 13 and 34 will experience the world of police up close during a trial day at the Schmalkalden-Meiningen police station. This special day provides an opportunity to gain an insight into the different facets of the police service. The event will take place from 7 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Leipziger Straße 21 in Meiningen. Visitors can look forward to guided tours of the facilities, practical demonstrations of operational equipment and a variety of interactive discussions with experienced police officers. For many who may already be thinking about pursuing a career in the police, this is the ideal time to ask questions about training, studies and career opportunities. Rhoen Canal reports that prior registration is required no later than October 25th.

Insights into police training

But it's not just in Meiningen that young people and young adults can get a taste of the police profession.
