On July 12, 2025, the Schmiedefelder Brauplatz in Suhl will be the venue for this year's Babsfest. Preparations are already in full swing as the culinary delicacies are the focus of this popular event. As already reported from insuedthueringen.de, around 8000 Hullerle made from dumpling dough are prepared for the festival. These little delicacies are rolled by hand and are very popular, especially when the weather is good, as last year has shown.
The event begins at 11:30 a.m. with the distribution of food by the Schmiedefeld restaurateurs. With the support of numerous helpers, the dumpling dough is prepared on the Friday before the festival. Many hands are pitching in to meet the high demand. Last year, a re-scooter campaign was even organized to ensure that no Babsfest visitor went home hungry.
