On the night of Friday, more precisely around 12:50 a.m., there was a raid on a casino in Merkers, which terrified those present. During the incident, two unknown perpetrators entered the restaurant on Salzunger Strasse and threatened both an employee and a guest with a pistol-like object. Apparently this was a clear demand for cash that the robbers were extorting. After the attack, the perpetrators fled with their loot and the police are currently searching for them without success. The description of the perpetrator is as follows: The first robber is said to be around 160 cm tall and slim, while the second, stronger, appears to be slightly taller at around 170 cm. The Suhl criminal police are providing information about the investigation and are working hard to solve the case.
