D64 super exam 2025: Digital policy and network security in focus!

The D64 Superklausur 2025, an important industry event, took place from October 24th to 26th at the charming Hotel Kaiserin Augusta in Weimar. This weekend, around 100 participants from Germany and Europe gathered to shape the future of digital policy together and to build networks. How D-64 reported that, in addition to intensive discussions, social gatherings were also on the agenda.

Friday was marked by arrivals and getting to know each other, including speed dating for new members. The fishbowl discussion on the topic of youth protection online was particularly exciting. Guests such as Stephan König from the CDU and Erik Sczygiol, the state student spokesman, heatedly discussed platform and cell phone bans in schools. These topics are currently very popular and show the great need for action in digital policy.

Diverse program on Saturday

Saturday started with a morning run and an introduction to the Barcamp, which offered participants the opportunity to attend self-organized sessions. A total of 18 sessions took place on a wide variety of topics. The hybrid general meeting also offered plenty of space for reports from the board of directors and auditors. Not only were the auditors elected, but a change to the statutes regarding the gender quota in offices was also decided. Another important decision was the acceptance of an initiative proposal for the Code of Conduct, which is intended to set clear standards of behavior in the future.

The evening's top form was achieved at the Pub Kwiz, in which mixed teams competed against each other. The D64 ticker editorial team emerged as the clear winner and thus ensured a crowning conclusion to Saturday. This shows that the participants not only work seriously on digital topics, but also enjoy the community.

Sunday: review and outlook

On Sunday the focus was on deepening the Barcamp topics as well as a presentation of the external committee work by the members. This work includes representation in various organizations, such as the ZDF television council or the DSC advisory board. The official super retreat ended on Saturday lunchtime, but the results and discussions will certainly shape digital policy in the coming months.

A big thank you went to the D64 office and the numerous volunteers who contributed to the success of this event. For everyone who is already eagerly awaiting the next super exam, the date has already been set: it will take place in Erkner near Berlin in autumn 2026.
