Ratinger women disappoint in Weimar: 13th place in the triathlon!
The cultural city triathlon took place in Weimar last Saturday, where the Triathlon team Ratingen started with a motivated team. Joana Wolff, Kathrin Harnischmacher, Lisa Rose and Florentine Anaç-Exner wanted to achieve a good result again after their impressive Bundesliga premiere in Gütersloh. In this relay race via super -sprint distances, the team finally took 13th place, which is a mixed balance for the athletes. Likewise, the knowledge of team leader Joana Wolff is remarkable, the emphasized that Harnischmacher should have started as the strongest swimmer in position one better in order to increase the chances of a better place. On Supertipp Online it is reported that the team spirit of the athletes was greatly perceived despite the disappointment about the result. The competition conditions in Weimar were anything but usual. In particular, the swimming line was not a lane, instead, boys had to be turned around, which was a challenge for some athletes. Joana Wolff, who opened the competition, had difficulties at the beginning and lost decisive positions. As if that weren't enough, the loss of a wheel shoe caused additional loss of time when changing. But Harnischmacher, who jumped into the water, shone with the fastest swimming time of all starter and needed just 22:12 minutes.
The competition course
The total time of the team was 1:35:10 hours. The Ratinger women were not satisfied with that, but were able to take many valuable experiences with them. Lisa Rose and Florentine Anaç-Exner unfortunately completed their races in isolation because they had no slipstream, which made the conditions even more difficult. In the end, the team had to leave the winner's wreath to the opponent, the absolute team sport KTT 01 II from Cologne
The next competition for the team is already in sight: On July 5, an enduraline in Itzehoe is on the program. The athletes look optimistically into the future and kept the team spirit high despite the challenges.
triathlon in Germany
triathlon is also very popular in Germany. Around 600 events took place last year, including top-class events such as the ITU World Triathlon Series in Hamburg, which is the largest triathlon event in the Republic with around 10,000 participants and over 250,000 spectators. Another important date is the Cologne Triathlon Weekend, which attracts around 4,000 participants. The Ratingen women are also part of this exciting sports landscape, which has become a passion for many, as on [passion triathlon] (https://Leidenschaft-triathlon.de/zumens-daten-fakten-rund-um-den-triathlon/) is explained in detail.
Future challenges and promoting sport are now in the foreground, in particular by the German Triathlon Union (DTU), which has been directing the fortunes of triathlon in Germany since 1985. In recent years, the number of participants has increased enormously in competitions - a trend that is also important for the Ratinger athletes. Perhaps these challenges and team dynamics bring the hoped -for success in the next competition.Details | |
