VfL women have a strong start to the training camp in Weimarer Land!
The VfL women started their stay in the picturesque Weimarer Land with flying colors. With bright sunshine and good spirits, the ball rolled for the team, who gathered at a first-class spa and golf resort. According to the information from VfL Wolfsburg The team enjoys optimal conditions to train together in the coming days and prepare for the challenges ahead.
After breakfast together and a short meeting, the team started with relaxed games and basic training content. Head coach Stephan Lerch emphasized the importance of a positive atmosphere in the training camp. “We not only want to optimize the sporting aspects here, but also strengthen cooperation,” says Lerch. While the rehab players work individually in the weight room, the majority of the team does their laps on the pitch. A special highlight was newcomer Sophia Kleinherne's first run since her injury, which created a good atmosphere.
The team has a total of 30 players, although Karla Brinkmann cannot take part due to an injury. The participation of four talents from the U20 team is particularly pleasing: Maja Zielinska, Weronika Arasniewicz, Anny Kerim-Lindland and Linnea Saelen. Lerch and his coaching team are confident that the first units will serve to consolidate the automatisms in the game and gradually introduce new content.
Training plan and outlook
Further units on the pitch and strength training are already planned for next Monday. The VfL women want to use the training camp to get to know each other better and strengthen the team dynamic. It is the team's first time at the facility and the impressions so far have been consistently positive. “The training conditions are excellent and very appealing compared to other places,” Lerch praised the conditions.
But the athletes are not the only ones who care about optimal conditions. In their free time they can, among other things, enjoy offers from platforms such as Poki which offers a wide range of free online games. These can be played quickly and easily on various devices - a welcome change from intensive training. Around 90 million players worldwide use Poki's offerings, underscoring the popularity and accessibility of the platform.
At the end of the training camp, the women will not only be fitter, but also strengthened as a community, ready to tackle the challenges of the coming season. Who knows, maybe we'll see the fruits of this training camp on the pitch soon!
Since the VfL women have a clear focus on improving their game, using technologies such as YouTube to analyze moves and techniques could also be helpful. Information and the latest trends can be found, for example, in the YouTube app, where you can access content in many different languages.
With this promising starting position, the VfL women are motivated to start the next training sessions and the new season.
