Weimar, Deutschland - On June 20, 2025, the atmosphere in the Goethe-Gymnasium in Weimar was shaped by a special moment: The high school graduates said goodbye with a festive graduation call that not only marked a ceremonial conclusion, but was also full of traditions and new elements. Instead of the traditional bath in the Goethebrunnen, which was carried out in other years, the ceremony took place at a replica of the well in the school yard. Under the cheers of siblings and classmates, the high school graduates moved through the downtown Weimar on Friday morning.

The route led from the school part of Herderplatz past the town hall and women's plan to the main house in Amalienstrasse. A nice sight, not only because of the festive robes, but also because all twelve graders had passed their high school diploma with an impressive average of 1.9, with seven students even reaching the top of 1.0. So the day became a triumph for the entire class.

A highlight of the Abita call was the rhymed speech by Rahel and Anna from 11th grade, who at the past before 11:00 a.m. to review the past school years with a lot of wit and charm. Not only were academic successes illuminated, but important teachers were also recognized. The highlight of this solemn event was the baptism of high school graduates, which were called in 16 groups of angels and devils. Every single knelt down and received a personalized baptism, water was solemnly poured over them. The 11th grade then symbolically handed over responsibility for the next graduation call to 10th grade.

The entire group of high school graduates jumped into a fountain shortly before 12:00, while the band played the well -known piece "Fly Me To The Moon". The celebration was rounded off with the song "We Are The Champions" by Queen, who provided goose bumps at those present.
