It is her third appearance at a European Championship, and she brings with her the experience of taking part in the youth and adult divisions. Your colleague Emanuel Müller, on the other hand, has a good feeling after successfully qualifying. It is his first European Championship for men and he is looking forward to the competition. Katrin Grabowski and Kris Großheim also emphasize the tension that everyone feels during preparation, while the competition venue is charged with a special atmosphere for them, as Olympic champions have bet here in the past. As Sportsweek reports, the athletes have the goal of reaching their personal best and supporting each other as a team.

Competitive pressure and challenges

“Is there a better motivation than the competition itself?” the athletes ask themselves. With the extreme weather conditions in Chateauroux, characterized by storms and heavy rain, the challenge becomes even greater. Despite these general conditions, the DSB team is persistent and well prepared. In the last round of the competition, Germany achieved impressive results: in total there were 26 gold medals, 16 silver medals and 16 bronze medals. They were successful in many individual disciplines. Dirk Willms, among others, left a lasting impression in the muzzle-loading shotgun category.

Emanuel Müller also shares these thoughts, insisting that the technical and mental use of one's own abilities is crucial. Grabowski and Großheim share the desire for personal success and a successful stay in Chateauroux. The DSB team has clear demands: joy, performance and the pursuit of personal goals are the priority.
